The Florida Board of Education stands poised to slightly ease the rules for retained third graders Authentic Reggie Bush Jersey to win mid year promotion to the fourth grade.

For more than a decade, children who were held back because of their reading struggles (as demonstrated on the FCAT) have had to Anquan Boldin Jersey prove they had fourth grade reading skills before they could jump from repeating third grade into the next level. The current rule states that a student could move up after he or she "has progressed sufficiently to master appropriate fourth Reggie Bush Jersey grade reading skills," along with other standards.

For each benchmark, there must be Torrey Smith Jersey two (2) examples of mastery as demonstrated Anquan Boldin 49ers Jersey by a grade of seventy (70) percent or better."

As part of its consent agenda, the State Board next week would eliminate that requirement.

Instead, the rule would allow promotion "based on performance on a locally selected standardized assessment measuring English Language Arts Florida Standards, as provided for in paragraph (2)(b) of this Torrey Smith 49ers Jersey rule, there must be evidence that the student scored at or above 3rd grade level in reading comprehension."

Florida is among the pioneers in retaining third graders who did not pass their state reading test, under the philosophy that third grade reading skills are a gateway to future academic success. The retentions, and rules for promotion, have generated concerns and debate since.
